1. ABOUT LOVE SCENT CANDLE CO.

Love Scent Candle Co. is a small, handmade candle business based in Illinois.

Our candles are handmade in small batches. Because our products are handmade, slight variations in color, texture, wax appearance, scent, frosting, finish, and overall appearance may occur from one candle to another.

These variations are a normal characteristic of handmade products and are not considered defects.

We make reasonable efforts to accurately display our products, colors, fragrances, sizes, and descriptions on our website. However, colors and other visual details may appear differently depending on your device, monitor, or screen settings.

2. CANDLE SAFETY

Candles are open-flame products and must always be used responsibly.

Customers are responsible for following all candle-care and safety instructions provided with their purchase.

For your safety:

• Never leave a burning candle unattended.

• Keep candles away from children and pets.

• Keep candles away from curtains, paper, furniture, bedding, and other flammable materials.

• Keep candles away from drafts, vents, fans, and other sources of moving air.

• Never move a candle while the wax is hot or while the candle is burning.

• Place candles on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface before burning.

• Keep the candle and surrounding area free from flammable materials.

• Trim the wick according to the candle-care instructions before each use.

• Do not burn a candle longer than the recommended burn time.

• Discontinue use when the recommended amount of wax remains at the bottom of the container.

• Never use a candle for any purpose other than its intended purpose.

Love Scent Candle Co. is not responsible for damage, injury, fire, or loss resulting from misuse, improper burning, failure to follow candle safety instructions, or use of our products for purposes other than their intended purpose, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

3. ALLERGIES AND SENSITIVITIES

Our candles may contain fragrance oils, essential oils, dyes, waxes, and other materials that may cause sensitivities in certain individuals.

If you have allergies or sensitivities to specific ingredients, please contact us before purchasing.

Customers are responsible for reviewing available product information and determining whether a product is appropriate for themselves, their household, children, or pets.

If you experience an adverse reaction or sensitivity, discontinue use of the product.

4. PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

Our products are handmade in limited quantities and are subject to availability.

We reserve the right to limit quantities, discontinue products, change fragrances, modify designs, or stop offering a product at any time.

If an item becomes unavailable after an online order has been placed, we will contact you and provide an appropriate solution, which may include a replacement, substitution, store credit, or refund.

5. WEBSITE ORDERS

When placing an order through lovescentcandleco.com, you are responsible for providing accurate and complete information, including your name, email address, shipping address, and payment information.

Please review your order carefully before submitting it.

An order confirmation does not necessarily guarantee acceptance of an order if there is an inventory error, pricing error, payment issue, suspected fraudulent activity, or other circumstance requiring cancellation.

Love Scent Candle Co. reserves the right to cancel or refuse an order when reasonably necessary.

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will issue an appropriate refund.

6. PRICING AND PAYMENT

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.

Applicable sales taxes and shipping charges will be added where required.

We accept the payment methods displayed during website checkout and the payment methods offered at our in-person markets and events.

Payment must be successfully received before an online order is processed unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Love Scent Candle Co. reserves the right to correct obvious pricing, product description, or listing errors.

If an item is purchased at an incorrect price because of an obvious error, we may cancel the order and issue a refund.

7. SALES TAX

Love Scent Candle Co. operates in Illinois and sells tangible personal property, including handmade candles.

Applicable sales taxes will be collected and reported as required by applicable law.

For in-person sales at Illinois fairs, festivals, markets, pop-ups, and craft shows, Illinois Department of Revenue guidance states that sellers are retailers and must collect, report, and remit applicable Illinois retail sales taxes. The applicable tax can depend on the location of the event.

For website orders, applicable sales tax will be calculated and collected based on the requirements applicable to the transaction.

Tax laws and rates may change, and Love Scent Candle Co. reserves the right to update its tax collection practices as required by law.

8. IN-PERSON MARKET PURCHASES

Love Scent Candle Co. may sell candles and other products at markets, craft fairs, pop-ups, festivals, and other events.

Customers are encouraged to inspect their purchases before leaving the event whenever reasonably possible.

Purchases made at in-person events are subject to the return, exchange, and damaged-product policies described in these Terms & Conditions and any additional policy communicated at the time of purchase.

9. SHIPPING

Love Scent Candle Co. currently offers shipping for website orders.

Local pickup is not currently available for website orders.

All website orders will be shipped to the address provided by the customer during checkout.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

Please carefully review your shipping information before submitting your order.

Shipping Times

Orders will generally be processed within 3 to 5 business days, unless otherwise stated on the website or product listing.

Estimated delivery dates are provided for convenience and are not guaranteed unless specifically stated otherwise.

Shipping delays may occur because of carrier delays, severe weather, holidays, natural disasters, incorrect addresses, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Incorrect Addresses

If an order is returned to Love Scent Candle Co. because the customer provided an incorrect or incomplete shipping address, the customer may be responsible for additional shipping costs before the order can be reshipped.

Lost or Stolen Packages

Once a package has been delivered to the shipping address provided by the customer, Love Scent Candle Co. is not responsible for packages that are subsequently lost or stolen, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

Customers should contact the shipping carrier regarding delivery issues and may also contact us for assistance.

10. NO LOCAL PICKUP

Love Scent Candle Co. does not currently offer local pickup for website orders.

Website orders must be shipped to the address provided during checkout.

Customers who purchase products directly from Love Scent Candle Co. at a market, craft fair, pop-up, or other in-person event may take their purchases with them at the time of sale.

11. RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

Love Scent Candle Co. accepts returns or exchanges only for eligible products and in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.

Customers must contact us before sending any product back.

Returned products must generally be unused and in their original condition and packaging.

Custom, personalized, clearance, and final-sale products may not be eligible for return or exchange.

12. DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, OR INCORRECT ORDERS

Please inspect your order when it arrives.

If your candle arrives damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, contact us at:

• Your name

• A description of the issue

• Clear photographs of the product

• Photographs of the shipping box and packaging, when applicable

After reviewing the situation, Love Scent Candle Co. may offer a replacement, refund, store credit, or another appropriate resolution.

We may request additional information or photographs before determining the appropriate resolution.

13. ORDER CANCELLATIONS

Once an order has been processed, packaged, or shipped, cancellation may no longer be possible.

Custom and personalized orders may not be cancelled once production has begun.

If an order is successfully cancelled before processing, any refund will be issued to the original payment method when reasonably possible.

14. CUSTOM AND PERSONALIZED ORDERS

Love Scent Candle Co. may offer custom candles, personalized labels, event favors, wedding favors, party favors, custom scents, and other made-to-order products.

Custom orders may require additional production time.

Customers are responsible for carefully reviewing names, dates, wording, spelling, colors, quantities, and other personalization details before approving an order.

Love Scent Candle Co. is not responsible for errors in customer-provided information that was approved before production.

Once production has begun, custom orders may not be eligible for cancellation, modification, return, or exchange except where required by applicable law.

15. BULK, WEDDING, EVENT, AND WHOLESALE ORDERS

Bulk, wedding, event, corporate, and wholesale orders may be subject to separate pricing, minimum quantities, deposits, production schedules, payment requirements, and cancellation terms.

Any special terms agreed upon in writing for a particular order will apply to that order.

Customers placing large or custom orders are encouraged to review all order details carefully before approving production.

16. PROMOTIONS AND DISCOUNT CODES

Promotional codes and discounts may be subject to expiration dates, minimum purchase requirements, product exclusions, or other restrictions.
